UL N'Shore is the interior design, furniture, and landscaping arm of ULCCS, one of the world's largest and oldest worker-owned cooperatives.
ULCCS has built roads, bridges, and public buildings across Kerala for over 100 years. UL N'Shore brings the same standards to homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
We are a worker-owned studio serving homes, businesses, and hotels across Kerala, and we are expanding into the rest of South India. Our work covers three areas: interiors, furniture, and landscaping.

We build furniture to be kept for decades. Every piece starts with the timber and what it does best.
We treat the garden as another room of the house. Our landscaping is planned to leave the land healthier than we found it.
Our craftsmen are co-owners of the cooperative, so they have a personal stake in the quality of every job.
Design, civil work, and joinery are all done in-house. Nothing is passed to subcontractors, so nothing falls between teams.
We combine local building methods that cope with heat and monsoon with current design standards.

We learn how you live, what you like, and what you want to spend, then agree the goals.
We prepare layout drawings, 3D views, and boards of the proposed materials.
We select and order the timber, stone, hardware, and finishes.
Joinery, civil changes, electrical, and plumbing work are carried out on site.
We inspect the work, fix any snags, set up the space, and hand it over.
Our parent society, Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Ltd. (ULCCS), was established in 1925 by the social reformer Vagbhatananda. It is now one of the largest worker-owned cooperatives in the world.
When you hire UL N'Shore, the carpenters, stonemasons, and site engineers on your project are co-owners of the business and share in what it earns.
